Please don’t stop writing though. You know as much as any of us how it’s like grabbing ahold of something rare. When you have it it’s like riding the wind, but once it’s gone, it’s like it’s gone for good. I used to write seriously when I was younger. Some bad things happened and I stopped for ten years. You fake it, and then you mourn it, and then it’s like that part of you belonged to somebody else’s life.
What I mean to say is, maybe it’s not the “stopping” but the “stop trying” part that diminishes you, and the only real thing you could have ever done is to just hold on tight and claw your way through.
