My Whole Expanse I Cannot See…

I formulate infinity stored deep inside of me…

Here’s a question

Category: Life

I have things in my head, things that are going to get written, but they’re not ready. So, if you could stumble here and have me write about absolutely anything, what would you have me write?

I’ll write anything that feels interesting, just please reply via direct comments, and not Twitter or Facebook. Don’t be shy about what you’d like to see.

Ever since you began referring to the brown eyed woman with whom you are in love, I have been fascinated with the backstory. How did you meet her? What is it about her that draws you in?

I guess its the romantic in me. I love a good boy-meets-girl story.

Allow me to open this (vague) can of worms: religion. I haven’t seen you write much of it, but what I have has been an interesting viewpoint.

The opposite of love isn’t hate – it’s apathy.

So where does anger fit on the continuum. Why is it so vilified despite the fact that, from the standpoint of passion being good, anger is remarkable.

P.S. I’m not an angry person. Just something I’ve been chewing on.

Do you undertake any advocacy endeavors that invole Human Rights, Civil Rights, Disability Rights? What are you views on society and these issues?

Hey Michael, I want you to write about the fascination with self, grandeur and the plight of chasing ideas to a place of trend. Bringing Abnormality Normal and Normality to the Abnormal. The destruction of originality as we know it.

What were the first song lyrics that you heard that caused that lurch of “I get that — REALLY get that” — that something was being said that you’d never quite been able to say yourself? What is one song you think every human on earth has to hear before he/she dies? If there were no music, what would fill your brain at the times when you typically hear or think about it? What song helps you fall asleep more than any other song?

(Can we tell I’m making a mix tape right now?)

You said write about nothing…how about just a day in your life. From the time you open your eyes and adjust to the sights, until you slowly unwind for the night. Of course, all in in-between too.

you write about songs that are important to you a lot, but not nearly so often about books that are important to you, and why. I’m interested in the post about all of the other non-musical art forms that you find important or meaningful or just fun.

Write not of loss but of the longing for missed opportunities and the things you will never know. Every person has that inside of him and it is perhaps their most powerful desire.

I’d like to read about your thoughts on tattooed women… do you like the art, the commitment to content, and the permanence? Or do you prefer a pristine, petal-soft, blank canvas?

    Erotica!

(I have an urge to say I’m not a perv, but I am, sometimes. But that’s not the only reason. ;-))

I would like to see erotica with character(s) with disabilities. I write some, and I feel like the only real disabled person in the world who does.

    Hey Michael,
I just saw the episode of This American Life that you did a few years ago. It blew my mind and made me appreciate my family more than ever. I plan on showing it to my mom as soon as I can. As for what you should write about, I think you should write about will power. I would love to hear your experience with persistence against insurmountable odds. I have climbed mountains, to ten thousand feet as well as coming to the apex of pain. I just recently realized I have been living my entire life with pinched nerves in my head. Anyway the personal will power it took for me to do the many things i have seemed to relate to the same type of strength you have. The best part of the internet is you are able to realize you are not alone.

I’ve been reading you for a while now and have some idea of the things that interest you, be it Kurt Cobain, movies, zombies, tattoos, liquor, sex, writing, etc.

I’d like to hear about the things that DON’T interest you in the least. The kinds of things that make your eyes glaze over when people talk about them. Just for a change of pace.

how about…your earliest memories, circa pre-zombies.
