You should check out the movie “A Wind Named Amnesia”. It’s an animated movie from Japan, and if you can look past some of the packaging (some chase action thrown in, etc.), it’s a pretty sweet premise that is explored in a pretty thoughtful way.

It explores the breakdown of society when everyone suddenly gets hit at the same time with a total amnesia — forgetting even habitual things like language, how to drive or work tools or open doors. The storyline itself is just a good excuse to travel through this world as it is plunged back into barbarism and people struggle to relearn civilization.

The trailer and the opening scene suggest the film is far more Orwellian than it actually is.

A sex-trade worker sacrifices her seemingly less than existent worth for the welfare of others.

Perhaps, after her tireless efforts of selflessness in a circumstance of unrelenting selfishness, Moore unconsciously blinded herself.
